Debut Diary ("the app", "we", "us") is a single-player trainee-raising game. We designed it to collect as little personal data as possible. This policy explains what data the app and this website handle, and how.

The short version: your game progress lives on your device. We don't require an account, we don't sell data, and we don't show third-party ads.

1. Data stored in the app

Your save game — trainee stats, schedules, photocards, settings — is stored locally on your device. It is not uploaded to our servers. Deleting the app deletes this data.

2. Data we do not collect

  • No account or sign-up is required to play.
  • We do not collect your name, contacts, location, photos, or device identifiers for advertising.
  • We do not sell or share personal data with data brokers or advertisers.
  • The app contains no third-party advertising.

3. Purchases

Optional cosmetic purchases are processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never see or store your payment details. Purchases never affect gameplay outcomes. Please refer to Apple's and Google's privacy policies for how they handle payment data.

4. Notifications

The app can send at most one local notification per day, only with your permission. Notifications are generated on your device — no push service or server is involved. You can turn them off at any time in your device settings, and if you ignore them, they stop on their own.

5. Analytics

To improve the game we may collect a small set of anonymous, aggregated gameplay statistics (for example: how many players finish the tutorial, or which ending they reach). These statistics contain no personal information and cannot be used to identify you. If this changes, we will update this policy first.

6. Children's privacy

Debut Diary is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app works without an account and stores data locally, playing does not require providing any personal information. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, reach us through the contact form and we will delete it.

7. Contact form & updates signup

If you use the contact form or updates signup on our website, we receive the name, email address, and message you submit. Submissions are delivered to us by our form processor, Formspree. We use contact messages only to reply to you, and signup email addresses only to send occasional news about the game. You can unsubscribe at any time, and we delete your data when no longer needed.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Since we hold almost none, this is usually quick — reach us through the contact form and we'll take care of it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated date above.
